Description:

The first hour of this session covers ergonomic principles and human anatomy as they relate to postures, movement and productivity in the workplace. Common workplace musculoskeletal risk factors are identified and solutions are provided to help the participants learn to set up their own workstation, to prevent injury and to promote a healthy "workstyle".

The second hour of the session will focus on early intervention in musculoskeletal injuries (MSI) in the workplace. Learn how collaboration with the employer and the occupational therapist prevents time loss injuries, allows for accommodation of injured works, provides ergonomic education to employers and employees, reduces the cost of MSI injuries, and promotes a healthy work environment; a "win-win" for the employer and the employees.
